Guided Meditations and Visualizations
Why Visualize?
Visualization is the art of seeing an event take place in your mind before it happens in real life. People that teach visualization talk about seeing as much detail as you can - colors, smells and sounds to make the image as real as possible.
This visualization has several benefits. First, you put your imagination to use to learn more about what you want to create in your life. This is naturally uplifting and inspiring. Your ability to picture things, to dream and imagine, has a connection to your authentic self. Rather than creating your life from a place of “shoulds” and “coulds” this is a way of recognizing what you authentically desire.
Second, you build resonance and momentum. Think about an Olympic athlete preparing for a race – the runner is taught to picture exactly in his mind what he is going to do, how it feels to run and what it feels like to cross the finish line. Before the race even begins he feels he’s already won, because he’s pictured it in his mind. This is something you can do in everyday life. If you can visualize yourself living your day perfectly, when the time comes to actually do it, you’ll feel like you already have. It may seem silly at first, but it’s an incredibly powerful way to motivate your self and move forward.
Visualization works because it bypasses any fears or anxieties you may have. If you dread doing a project, it’s hard to motivate yourself to work on it. But if you can visualize yourself completing it successfully, it’s much easier to get started. These are little mind games you can play with yourself to help actualize your ideal life. Visualization helps keep you focused on what is important, rather than on the obstacles.

Nightmare Intervention
I believe that dreams point us in the direction of our longings and show us what we need to look at within ourselves and our lives to grow stronger and happier. If a person is overwhelmed by nightmares, then let’s engage a practice to make dreaming more palpable. If one doesn’t have a strong connection to dreams – either not dreaming or not remembering, and if a person is interested, then let’s explore practices for amplifying one’s dreams!
I’ve created this dream visualization to help you explore and learn from nightmares, as well as to help you drift in to dreamland gently and kindly. There are several stages to this visualization: breath oriented relaxation, chakra balancing, invoking the divine for psychic protection, then dream programming. You can use the first two parts any time, especially before you meditate. The third part is especially before you go to sleep.
These visualizations may take practice and the results of how your psyche and spirit process this may vary. The next few dreams you have may be entirely unexpected, giving you a chance to explore what’s going on from different perspectives. I believe this is a mechanism of your subconscious revealing things about yourself slowly and gently, so that you can look in to your shadows without reaction. You may find that the nightmares allow you to confront a part of your history that you’ve shied away from, a whole unexplored area of life begging for your attention. This can be unpredictable. Ease in to this process gently and take time during this discovery to write down your dreams, and to talk with someone about it.

Perfect Day Visualization
In this recording I’m going to guide you through a visualization of your perfect day. Before we begin, go ahead and hit the pause button on your day to allow yourself to get into a comfortable position where you're able to relax for a while. This is also a great practice to save and do before you fall asleep at night, with our without listening to my voice.
After you've listened to the recording and done your visualization. You can download the word document below to write down as much information as you discovered. Bring this to your coaching session and we'll use it to identify some of the long-term goals and short-term habits you can work with.
You can also get creative (if you're inclined) and create a picture or collage that symbolizes your perfect day. Use whatever materials expresses your vision - magazine clippings, photographs, drawings, and/or poetry. Hang this in your room to remind you of your goals as you work toward them.
